About

My name is Kathy Shonaiya

I've worked as a project manager and PMO leader for the last 15+ years in the defense, intelligence, and financial services sectors. I've had the opportunity to work in environments where PMO capabilities were strong and rigorous, and I have also experienced PMO as a new or evolving organizational competency. I'm fluent in how people, processes, and tools come together for productive project team dynamics and successful project delivery.

I have an MS in Applied Information Technology from Towson University in Maryland (Go Tigers!) and an MS in Program and Project Portfolio Management from Northeastern University (Go Huskies!). I earned my PMP and PMI-ACP from the Project Management Institute.  Most recently, I completed the SAFe Agilist 6 certificate under the Scaled Agile Framework.

I live in Pennsylvania with my husband and two teenagers, one grumpy cat, and one very dramatic husky.
